Water disruption in Salim areas as interconnection pipeline works being undertaken
by Peter Boon · Borneo Post OnlineSIBU (Oct 24): Several areas here will experience water interruption to facilitate interconnection works on the diversion of a 300mm ductile iron pipeline at Lorong Salim 18.
In a notice issued today, Sarawak Water Sdn Bhd (SWSB) central regional office said the scheduled interruption would be from 10pm this Monday (Oct 27) until the estimated completion at 4am the next day.
The affected areas are Jalan Kiew Nang, Lorong Salim 18, 19, 21, 28, Farley Commercial Centre, Sing Kwong Commercial Centre, Jalan Siol, Lorong Lada 13, Sentosa, Belatok, Maludan and Jalan Kenari.
“Consumers in the affected areas are advised to store sufficient water supply for their needs throughout this water supply interruption period.
“Additionally, road users are advised to exercise caution when driving on this road (Lorong Salim 18) during the period of the works and to comply with all traffic management for safety and regulations,” said SWSB central region.
“Any inconvenience caused is greatly regretted,” it added.
