Samsung Galaxy A73 receives its last big update

Samsung's One UI 8 party keeps expanding by the day, and today it's reached the Galaxy A73 from 2022. This phone was launched with a promise of four major Android updates, and it arrived running Android 12, so the update to Android 16 with One UI 8 is the last major OS update it will ever get.

It's now rolling out in Asia, with the new build number being A736BXXUAGYJ1. It's a 2.5GB download and it includes the September 2025 security patches, even though they are almost two months out of date by now.

You can grab it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install if you're in Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, or Vietnam for now, but undoubtedly the rollout will reach more places in the coming days and weeks.
