Xiaomi details HyperOS 2 global rollout schedule: the first updates are coming out this month
by Peter · GSMArena.comXiaomi unveiled HyperOS 2 a couple of weeks ago, but only offered a timeline for updating devices in China at the time. There was a leaked timeline, but that proved to be false as Xiaomi just published the real thing and the good news is that we won’t have to wait until 2025 to get the new OS version.
Some won’t even have to wait until next month – the first phones to get HyperOS 2 will be the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro, which will get it later this month. And they are not alone either, the regular Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra will also make the jump this month, as will the Xiaomi 13T Pro (but not the 13T). Also slated for a November rollout is the Redmi Note 13 series and the Poco X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro and M6 Pro. The Mix Flip is also an early adopter of the new OS.
The schedule for December picks up the stragglers – the Xiaomi 13T, Poco F6 and M6, plus a number of older devices. This goes back to the Xiaomi 13, 12 and 11 series, it includes the 12T and 12T Pro as well. Redmi 13 and 12 (both 4G and 5G variants), as well as the Redmi Note 12 series will also be updated next month.
Older Poco phones like the X5 Pro, F5 and F5 Pro, X4 GT and F4 GT are on the list as well. There are some newer phones too, like the Poco C75, which launched just this October but came with version 1 of HyperOS.
In summary, some Xiaomi phones from 2022 are being updated to HyperOS 2 by the end of this year, but some are not, e.g. the Poco X4 Pro and the vanilla F4. It’s really only the flagship number series that goes deeper than that with the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra going back to end of 2020/beginning of 2021.
That’s it for the phones, but Xiaomi is also updating its tablets and wearables. This starts with the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and Smart Band 9 Pro in November. Next month, the Xiaomi Pad 6, Poco Pad and a number of Redmi Pads will jump to HyperOS 2 as well.
