Bang & Olufsen Launches Sculptural Beosound Premiere Soundbar For Dolby Atmos Fans

by · channelnews

Danish hi-fi brand Bang & Olufsen has unveiled its latest premium soundbar, the Beosound Premiere, which pairs high-end Dolby Atmos performance with a striking, sculptural design – though it comes with a hefty price.

Positioned between the Beosound Stage and the ultra-luxury Beosound Theatre, the Beosound Premiere is aimed at audiophiles who want both sound and style.

The 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos soundbar houses 10 custom-engineered drivers powered by 10 amplifiers, delivering a total of 580 watts.

A central up-firing tweeter, described by B&O as “capturing the eye like a jewel,” features 1,925 precision-machined perforations as a nod to the company’s founding year.

The soundbar will face competition from more affordable premium options like the KEF X10.

Pricing for the standard Beosound Premiere will start at US$5,800, with Australian pricing still yet to be confirmed.

Bang & Olufsen’s new Wide Stage Technology further expands the soundstage, creating the impression of additional external speakers for a more immersive experience.

The system can also be integrated with other B&O speakers via Beolink Surround, allowing users to build a full 7.1.4 home theatre setup wirelessly.

Beyond audio, the Beosound Premiere is a statement piece.

Its aluminium chassis is pearl-blasted for a matte satin finish and the speaker drivers are intentionally exposed rather than hidden behind a grille.

Inside, 90 LEDs adjust with the sound settings. Optional fabric or handcrafted wooden covers allow owners to customise the aesthetic.

B&O is also releasing a Haute Edition, limited to just 25 units worldwide, priced at US$15,700. Each features a precision-milled pattern and comes with a bespoke Beoremote One and certificate of authenticity.
