Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose shoppers urged to act now for free £2,500

A Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda Morrisons andWaitrose app scheme has saved a customer £2,500. The Sprive app allows you to use cashback and other deals such as discounted vouchers to go towards paying off your mortgage - with one shopper saving £2,5000 thanks to the app which can be used at Tesco, Sainsbury's or Asda.

Christopher Gilbert, 40, from Surrey Hills, said: "Shop with Sprive is literally free money – you are doing the shopping anyway, and it doesn’t cost you any more to use the app, but it does earn you money to overpay."

The shopper uses Sprive when buying his weekly groceries at Tesco and Sainsbury's and claims cashback from Waitrose, M&S, and John Lewis. He said: "We have only been using the app for a few months, and already we are on track to save almost £2,500 in interest and shave 3 years off the mortgage term, and the best thing of all is it actually hasn’t cost me anything to do. My only regret is that I didn’t know about it sooner."

He explained: "Sprive offers another way of overpaying my mortgage with zero hassle. On a normal month, I would pay around £125 in overpayments but on a good month, more than £400." He went on, saying : "With the Shop with Sprive feature - which is so easy to use - I’m averaging about £65 per month in overpayments just from cashback."
