Amazon launches Amazon Haul, its Temu challenger

An ultra-cheap storefront

by · Tech Advisor

Amazon has officially announced its answer to super-cheap Chinese e-commerce platforms such as Temu and Shein in the US.

Known as Amazon Haul, the platform will be available within the Amazon Shopping mobile app or on the website, offering a range of products for $20 or less.

In an official blog post announcing the news, Amazon said that all available products have been vetted to ensure they are safe, authentic and comply with local laws.

The company says that the majority of the products on Amazon Haul should cost $10 or less, though some will be as cheap as $2.99.

Shipping, on the other hand, will be charged at $3.99, but is included for orders over $25. However, delivery will take longer than we’ve come to expect from Amazon – one to two weeks.

It appears to be completely separate from the regular Amazon shopping experience, meaning existing Amazon Prime members won’t be able to benefit from free delivery or fast shipping.

All Amazon Haul purchases over $3 in value will be eligible for free returns within 15 days of delivery.

Initially launching in beta, Amazon Haul will initially only be available to mobile users in the US. At the moment, it’s unclear when Amazon Haul will be released elsewhere, including in the UK.
