Google says it's Fixed Pixel 10 Android Auto Glitch, but Users complain Issues Still Present

The Pixel 10 series launched last month and hit store shelves shortly after. Since their launch, the devices have been facing problems with Android Auto. The phones were unable to maintain a reliable connection with the in-car infotainment systems. While the car recognizes the device, the dashboard display doesn’t move past the black screen with the Android Auto logo. However, Google now says that it has finally fixed the Pixel 10 Android Auto issue.

There was no workaround to the Android Auto’s black screen issue. This issue was present despite the audio for music, phone calls, and Assistant commands passing through properly. It was the interface that never really appeared, or took a lot of time to load. Sometimes the app itself was unresponsive when connecting to their Pixel 10. Google is addressing this with a new update. Installing Android Auto 15.0 or above will fix the problem. The new 15.0 update reportedly started rolling out widely this week. Meanwhile, Android Auto v15.1 is now available in beta.

Issues are reportedly still present

Though Google claims that the latest Android Auto 15.0 update fixes the problem, comments from users paint a different picture. Pixel 10 users in the replies say that the update doesn’t fix the problems. One user says the update is constantly asking to enable notifications on the phone, even when they’re already on. Another user notes that v15.0 doesn’t really solve the connectivity issue with their car. It’s unclear if there will be another patch release to actually fix the issues.
