Summary: Google has released the Android 16 Beta 3.2 update for several Pixel smartphones and the Pixel tablet. It is a small update that brings fixes causing problems with the haptic feedback, battery drainage, and the screen when capturing photos. Google is rolling out the update over-the-air to compatible Pixel devices.

The development of the upcoming Android 16 version is in full swing. Google rolled out the Android 16 Beta 3 update just last month, and the OS is now nearing the end of its testing period. The search titan recently addressed a few bugs in the Beta 3 update by releasing the Android 16 Beta 3.1 upgrade. Now, Google has rolled out the Android 16 Beta 3.2 update with more fixes for a handful of bugs.

Android 16 Beta 3.2 update fixes issues related to battery drain and haptic feedback

The Android 16 Beta 3.2 update (BP22.250221.015) is now rolling out to compatible Pixel devices with the March 2025 security patch. It resolves an issue that miscalibrated haptic feedback in certain cases. A fix addresses the problem that caused excessive battery drain even when users weren’t operating the device.

Furthermore, the new Android 16 beta update brings a fix for an issue for the Pixel 6 series that sometimes caused the display to flicker when capturing photos or videos. Besides, the new firmware fixes multiple other problems that were impacting system stability and usability. The size of the update is around 35MB, and Google is rolling it out over-the-air.

Google is rolling out the new update to these devices

Google has released the new Android 16 beta update for the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold devices.

It’s worth mentioning that only the devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program will receive the new Android 16 update. Once done with the beta releases, Google will roll out the stable Android 16 update at some point later this quarter, presumably in June. The search titan will share more details about the same at the upcoming Google I/O 2025 event in May, so stay tuned.
