Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra Display Isn’t Getting Bigger — But It Has ‘Surprises’

by · Android Headlines

The display size of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has just been confirmed. The information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known Chinese tipster. He shared some information via X, as per usual.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display size has been revealed

The tipster claims that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 6.89-inch display. The Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch display, officially, and this 6.89-inch panel will likely be marketed as a 6.9-inch panel. So the display could end up being almost identical in terms of size, if not completely identical.

Furthermore, the tipster said that the phone’s display “will have surprises”. He said that “some of Samsung‘s core display technologies will be used in this product.” He did not go into details regarding that, unfortunately.

This is all very vague, but at least we know what display size to expect. That is also unexpected, the fact Samsung won’t really mess around with the display size from last year. In case you’re wondering, yes, the display will be flat, not curved.

The device is almost certainly coming in January 2026

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will almost certainly launch in January, alongside the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge. The company is ditching the ‘+’ model entirely, as the ‘Edge’ will replace both that variant and this year’s ‘Edge’ model. The vanilla model will simply get the ‘Pro’ moniker.

With that being said, the dummies of all three smartphones have surfaced already. In addition to that, we’ve exclusively shared the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge CAD-based renders, which basically reveal the designs of the two phones. The Galaxy S26 Ultra images are incoming.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will almost certainly use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 aka Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. The company could opt to utilize its Exynos chip too, though, in some markets, we’ll see.
