OnePlus Nord 6 Likely to Launch in the First Week of April

OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of the Nord 6, its next-gen Nord series smartphone. Earlier this week, the company officially released a teaser of the upcoming device. As of now, OnePlus hasn’t officially confirmed the launch date of the said smartphone. But, according to an Indian tipster, the OnePlus Nord 6 is launching in the first week of April.

OnePlus will reportedly launch the Nord 6 on April 7

The news comes via tipster Yogesh Brar on X, who, in his post from earlier today, claims that OnePlus is “likely” to launch the Nord 6 on April 7th. Brar, in his post, also hinted at the specs of the next-gen Nord series smartphone. The OnePlus Nord 6 will reportedly feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz screen refresh rate.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 6 is likely to pack the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The smartphone will likely sport a dual-rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary camera. Since rumors point to the Nord 6 being a rebranding of the OnePlus Turbo 6 that landed in China earlier this year, we expect the device to feature a 2MP monochrome camera alongside. As for the selfies, the Nord 6 will likely get a 32MP front-facing camera. If accurate, that’s an upgrade over the Turbo 6’s 16MP selfie camera.

Moving on, the OnePlus Nord 6 is likely to get a massive 9000mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging. Yesterday, the same tipster also claimed that the OnePlus Nord 6 will ditch the 512GB storage option. So, we are looking at two models, with the base featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the beefiest model will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The device will likely cost higher than its predecessor

According to the tipster, the OnePlus Nord 6 will launch in three color options: Black, Mint, and Silver. As far as pricing is concerned, the OnePlus Nord 6 is likely to get a price bump of somewhere between INR 3,000 to 5,000 (approx. $32 to $54). To catch you up, the OnePlus Nord 5 launched in India with a starting price of INR 31,999 (~$345). So, we speculate OnePlus will land the Nord 6 with a starting price of INR 34,999 (~$375). All that said, we will get confirmation on the pricing in the next few weeks once the smartphone lands in India.
