Aqara has launched a new Camera Hub G350 indoor camera, and it’s Matter-compatible
Matter support enables better smart home compatibility across brands like Google and Amazon. The Aqara Camera Hub G350 also works as a Zigbee and Matter hub in the Aqara Home app. This means the camera will allow you to control various devices across smart home protocols and different brands within one location.
The indoor camera also includes 940mm invisible infrared LEDs for clear night vision. The Aqara Camera Hub G350 offers an AI-powered auto-tracking feature that identifies and follows the movements of people or pets, keeping them in the frame. The G350 can also recognize faces, pets, and six sounds like coughing, a dog barking, or a baby crying. It’ll only send alerts when it really matters.
The two-way audio and a live view can be accessed via Apple’s HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, Alexa, and Google Home. The microSD card slot supports up to 512GB of 24/7 continuous local recording. Alternatively, users can also opt for Aqara’s encrypted cloud storage. The Aqara Camera Hub G350 sets you back by $140 and is now available via Aqara’s website.
The G400 wired doorbell camera
Additionally, Aqara has also launched the G400 wired doorbell camera. This can connect to the internet via dual-band Wi-Fi or Ethernet. It gets a single lens with 2K resolution and a 165-degree ultra-wide field of view. The on-device detection capabilities can recognize people and motion even without an internet connection. It uses AI to identify faces, packages, animals, and vehicles.
Users can also connect the doorbell camera to smart home platforms, like Apple Home with HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. The Aqara G400 retails for $100, and it is now available via the official website.
