Google Pixel 9a release date: Here's when you can buy the phone
by Justin Diaz · Android HeadlinesGoogle’s Pixel 9a smartphone is finally official following several months of leaks, and Google has laid everything bare about its next A-series device including the release date.
As you might have guessed, the Google Pixel 9a will be available relatively soon. The Pixel 9a will be available in several regions around the globe and it’ll cost under $500. Specifically, it’ll cost $499 for the 128GB version of the phone which is the same price as last year’s Google Pixel 8a. There will also be a 256GB option that Google will sell for $599.
Since this is intended to be a “budget option” the 128GB model is probably the one to go for. While it can be easy to fill up 128GB of space, it does usually take a while. And $499 is that nice and reasonable sweet spot in terms of price for a phone like this.
The Google Pixel 9a release date will be in April
You won’t have to wait too much longer to get your hands on this device, as Google plans to launch it in April. Initially, Google had planned to launch the phone next week, but the company has made a last-minute delay and pushed the launch out a couple more weeks. As for pre-orders, Google is forgoing the pre-orders and is moving straight to a launch once the April release date comes around. The company says it will share more information about the on-shelf date closer to that time.
That being said, you can sign up at the Google Store to be notified. You’ll want to keep in mind that shipment dates could vary based on your region. Wherever you pre-order the Pixel 9a, be sure to look at when the phone will ship and/or arrive. Google’s Pixel 9a will be available in four colors – Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony.
Every country that will get the Pixel 9a at launch
With Pixel 9a pre-orders now live, you probably want to know if the phone will be sold in your country. Google has generally kept the same regional availability for its Pixel devices, so if you were able to buy the Pixel 8 series, or the original Pixel 9 series, then chances are, you can buy this too. Specifically, however, the Pixel 9a will be available in North America in the US and Canada. As well as several countries in the EMEA and the Asia Pacific regions.
For the EMEA, the phone will be available in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Finland.
The Asia Pacific regional availability includes Australia, Japan, India, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
