Google Pixel 10 Joins Android Beta Program Ahead of Android 16 QPR2 Beta 2

by · Android Headlines

Google has now added the Pixel 10 series to the Android Beta Program. Thus, you can run beta releases of Android 16 on the brand new Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

However, there is a small caveat right now. And that is, it supports Android 16 QPR2 Beta 2, which is not yet available. So users will need to wait a bit before they can start running betas on their shiny new Pixel device. Though users likely won’t need to wait long, as it’s very likely that Android 16 QPR2 Beta 2 will be released today by Google.

You can enroll in the Android Beta Program on its website. You’ll see your eligible devices listed there, and once enrolled, you’ll get a small OTA to bring you onto the beta track. Unless there’s a beta available – like QPR2 Beta 2 later today. You can also unenroll; however, that will also factory reset your Pixel 10. As has been the case with every other Pixel device since this program started many years ago.

Pixel 10 also received a small 31MB update this week

Google also rolled out a pretty small update for the Pixel 10 this week. This is its second September update, which is about 31MB in size and it’s build number BD3A.250721.001.E1. This update does appear to fix the fuzzy display issue that has plagued a number of Pixel 10 units since it launched last month.

As usual, the factory images for the update are now live on Google’s website. You can flash the entire factory image or sideload the OTA if you don’t want to wait for Google’s OTA to push out. Of course, you can head over to Settings > System > Software Update to pull down the OTA.
