Galaxy S24 One UI 8 Update Pulled a Month After It's Rollout

by · Android Headlines

Samsung has pulled the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S24 series close to a month after it was released. The company may have come across bugs that could have sneaked through in the update. The severity of the bugs is not clear at the moment, but it may be serious, considering Samsung is taking down the update. This isn’t a rare case, as the company previously took down the update for the Galaxy S22 series just a week after it was out.

Samsung pulled the Galaxy S24 series One UI 8 update

The One UI 8 firmware for the Galaxy S24 models is no longer available on Samsung’s servers. This is reportedly happening only in South Korea at the moment. We’re not sure if Samsung will take down the update in other markets as well in the coming days. It’s interesting that Samsung took this long to realize the issue(s) that made it pause the rollout.

South Korea is the only market where the company hasn’t resumed the rollout of the update for any Galaxy S22 models after taking it down. In other regions, only the Galaxy S22 Ultra hasn’t started receiving the update again.

The reasons for taking down the update are not clear

At this point, the Galaxy S24 series users would have most definitely already upgraded to One UI 8. There haven’t been any major complaints from the users so far, or at least anything widespread. This probably suggests that there may not be a reason for concern, but we can’t be sure just yet.

Samsung hasn’t given out a reason for taking the update down at the moment. But we’ll be sure to update if we hear more. Are you facing any major issues with your phones?
