Hours after truce, fresh Israeli attacks leave 5 dead in Lebanon

New Delhi: Just hours after the ceasefire deal to end the Israeli forces’ strike on southern Lebanon took effect, it appeared to have already shattered.
Lebanese state media reported that the attacks targeted places and residences in Nabatieh.
Reports indicate that the airstrikes continued through the night after taking effect and went into early morning Saturday.
It was followed by the international mediation efforts that facilitated a ceasefire deal.

Lebanese government sources revealed several locations came under fire as warplanes and drone attacks were unleashed on areas in the country.
Hezbollah has already declared itself engaged in war with Israeli forces following months of escalation,
after a strike in May that left 4 Israeli soldiers dead.
Israel has retaliated by conducting massive air strikes across southern Lebanon.
