Jharkhand Exit Polls: Will BJP-Led NDA Wrest Power From JMM? Here's What Surveys Predict

Jharkhand Exit Polls: The second and final phase of the Jharkhand Assembly election to decide the electoral fate of 528 candidates concluded on Wednesday, November 20. The first phase of which was held on November 13.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his wife Kalpana Soren both (both JMM) and Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri (BJP) were contesting in the final phase of the Jharkhand Assembly polls today.
According to the Election Commission of India, Jharkhand recorded 67.63 percent in the second phase of polling, with the highest outcome in Jamtara and lowest in Bokaro.
The exit polls started surfacing soon after the conclusion of the polls, hinting a victory on the cards for the Bharatiya Janata Party and its NDA allies.
The Matrize survey has predicted that the BJP-led alliance will bag 42-47 seats, while the INDIA bloc will likely win 25-30 seats. An exit poll by Chanakya Strategies has projected 45-50 seats for the BJP-led NDA, 35-38 seats for the INDIA bloc and 3-5 for others.
People's Pulse has projected 44-53 seats for BJP+, 25-37 seats for INDIA bloc, and 5-9 seats for others. Another poll by Axis My India has projected 24-25 seats for BJP-led NDA, 52-53 seats for INDIA bloc, and 2-3 for others.
On the basis of these figures, the Poll of Polls suggests that the BJP-led NDA will likely secure 43-49 seats, INDIA bloc will bag 30-34 seats, and others will get 2-5 seats.These projections are for 41 out of 81 Assembly seats.
The ruling JMM-led INDIA bloc and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance are pitted against each other in this electoral battle aiming to come to power.
The BJP fielded candidates in 68 seats and its allies AJSU Party, JD(U), and Lok Janshakti (Ram Vilas) fielded candidates 10, two, and one seats respectively. The ruling JMM, which is contesting the polls under the INDIA bloc fielded candidates in 43 seats, while Congress fielded 30 candidates. The RJD named six candidates, while the CPI(ML) fielded four.
