A train ran over several passengers near Jalgaon in Maharashtra after the travelers jumped from a halted train to the rail tracks amid rumours of fire leading to the tragic accident. During the incident, a total of 8 people lost their lives and 40 injured.

The incident took place between Jalgaon and Paranda Station when the passengers were fleeing from the Pushpak Express amid rumours of fire. While the passengers were standing on the rail track, an incoming Karnataka Express ran over.
