I'm A Celeb 2025 live: Camp evacuated in dramatic scenes as new danger looms
I'm A Celebrity certainly has had a dramatic 24 hours! The camp was evacuated after h eavy storms caused flash flooding and chaos in the jungle- with the stars being kept in the dry. A source told us: "The Bush Telegraph [where the show's talking-head elements are filmed] is tiny but the only place where the campmates can be evacuated too. With all twelve contestants in there, it would have been very, very uncomfortable. Plus they were all drenched. It couldn’t have got any worse. "It’s going to be very grim indeed. The wet weather always brings out the leeches, plus a whole host of other biting insects too. After what has seemed quite a harmonious camp, we expect it to get a little fraught from now on." There's been trials - and tribulations - and we're only a week into the show. What can we expect next - and should the celebrities be worried? Like this s tory? Friends and family on their way...
As we head into the second week….it’s usually when we start seeing tension in the camp, as the initial buzz about being in the jungle wears off. It also seems to coincide with the friends and family flying in and being on Australian soil, and the realisation that they would rather be with them. Their loved ones will begin arriving from Tuesday, and there will be some emotional reunions for sure.
We have been blessed with the weather…until today when a storm swept in, bringing torrential rain…and giant hailstones. But the damp conditions are now a breeding ground for LEECHES….with an influx of them hitting the camp. Says our insider: “They have exploded in number because of the wet weather….it makes for very uncomfortable conditions to say the least.”
Can anything stop the Ginge and Aitch juggernaut? Both are favourite to make the final, although Ginge told me before going into camp that he doesn’t even consider himself to be a celebrity. He admitted that he was going to be totally star-struck meeting all the other campmates, and laughed when asked if he could win it. How things have changed…
I am heading back to Brisbane Airport in the next few days to try and catch up with the friends and family as they touch down. What will Ginge’s mum make of her son ruling the roost with Aitch? How about Ruby Wax’s husband and her saucy confessions in camp. It will be fascinating to hear their thoughts as we gear up for the first eviction at some point.

Terrifying trials
I’m a Celeb bosses have warned they have devised one of the most terrifying Bushtucker Trials ever, set at night. Four celebrities will take on Bugtime Stories this week to win treats for camp.
A source said: “This is probably one of the most sickest trials ever, and comes at a time when morale is being tested in camp and when the celebs traditionally start struggling anyway being away from their friends and family. The other trials up until this moment will be seen as a walk in the park compared to this one.
"Last year’s Frightbus was widely considered to be the worst trial yet…and it was certainly the noisiest with the amount of screaming. Bosses are expecting this one to easily eclipse that level of fear.”

Camp punishment!
After Alex Scott was caught smuggling in contraband, jungle execs have now told the campmates they have lost a star won by Aitch in today's Bushtucker Trial as a result.
Campmates will be told there’s a contraband amnesty and they have an opportunity to surrender all smuggled goods without further punishment. Only once that happens, will dinner be served.
An insider said: “There could very well be more than one smuggler….it remains to be seen who puts their hands up.” Are there any more confessions?

Dramatic 24 hours
As we exclusively revealed, the stars of I'm A Celebrity were forced to be evacuated.
The Queensland Bureau of Meteorology earlier issued a warning of what it described as a “very dangerous storm” to hit the area. It said how the thunderstorm was producing “large to giant hailstones, damaging and destructive winds and heavy rainfall causing flash flooding.”
The campmates’ belongings were all soaked, and they spent Monday afternoon trying to use the campfire to dry everything. The evacuation is only undertaken in extreme circumstances, according to sources.
