Israel kills 6 in Gaza despite ceasefire; army claims death of senior Hamas commander

GAZA CITY – 13 December 2025: Israeli strikes on Saturday killed and wounded Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, health officials said, as Israeli army continues nearly-daily attacks despite the ceasefire in place since October.

Medical sources in Gaza hospitals reported that six Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in Gaza City and the northern areas of the enclave since early Saturday.

Gaza’s health ministry said the total number of Palestinians killed since the start of Israel’s war in October 2023 has risen to 70,654, with 171,095 wounded.

One of the attacks targeted senior Hamas commander Raed Saad, who the army said it has eliminated.

Hamas did not immediately confirm the death of Saad.
