Hassan Nasrallah, the elusive and secretive Hezbollah chief, was killed in the massive airstrike in Beirut targeting the Hezbollah headquarters.

The strikes in the south of Lebanon's capital came shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin addressed the U.N.

Rarely seen in public, Hassan Nasrallah was like a phantom who turned Hezbollah into a powerful military and political organisation. Israel targeted him by bombing Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut. Zainab was known for her outspoken loyalty to Hezbollah and her family's sacrifices and her death, if confirmed, would have large implications in the brewing conflict with Israel. This came as Israel struck Hezbollah headquarters in a massive strike targeting Hassan Nasrallah.

The militant group has neither confirmed nor denied it as of now.

This would be a devastating blow to Iran-backed Hezbollah group which has suffered numerous casualties in its conflict with Israel that has killed 800 people within a week. The Hezbollah chief's daughter Zainab Nasrallah was also reportedly killed in the Israeli strikes on Friday.

India Today Fact Check found that the viral video has nothing to do with Israel’s recent strikes on Lebonan. The Nasrallah video is more than two years old. 

In a statement, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said, 'Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorise the world.' The IDF said that alongside Nasrallah, the commander of Hezbollah's so-called Southern Front, Ali Karaki, was also killed, along with other commanders, Times of Israel reported.
